We left Broad Creek and headed south to Ocracoke an eighty mile trip
that would take us across the Albemarle, Croatan and Pamlico sounds.
Above is the bridge from the main land to Roanoke Is.

Edward Teach was said to have been the most dreaded of all pirates. Known as the infamous "Blackbeard" he was said to have a residence on the island.
